Labor Policies

Home building, which is usually referred to as residential construction in federal labor regulations, requires a well-trained and readily available work force. Unlike other forms of production jobs, home building requires a mixture of skills and trades, working at different work sites and operating under variable weather conditions. Employment levels and skills must respond to rapidly changing demand across building cycles and variation in schedule speeds. Federal laws protect worker safety and govern management and labor relations.
