Air Quality

Air pollution often tops the public’s list of environmental concerns. Since 1970, when the Congress passed the Clean Air Act, carbon monoxide, sulfur dioxide, lead, and nitrogen dioxide have decreased nationally by about 30%. Despite the improvements, even stricter air quality standards have been approved that will impact our daily lives. Use the resources in this section to learn more about air quality and how it impacts you.
