The Master Certified Green Professional (Master CGP) designation is exclusively for experienced building professionals and comprises a more in-depth study of green building science and marketing strategies for selling green. Master CGP candidates must have five years of green building experience and have built, remodeled or been involved with the construction of at least three dwellings that have been certified to a recognized local, state or national green residential program. Candidates also must have completed the four required courses.

By meeting the experience requirement and completing the required Master CGP classes, you are eligible to apply for the Master Certified Green Professional designation.

Master CGP Application Instructions

1. Create a login to nahb.org, if you do not have one. Use your NAHB PIN or, if you are not a NAHB member, use your Education ID to create your login. If you need assistance, call the NAHB Learning Helpline at 800-368-5242 x8154.
2. Choose either the Premium option, which includes a full graduation kit with your Master CGP plaque, Master CGP lapel pin and other valuable designation resources, or the Standard option, which includes a downloadable Master CGP certificate and access to various online designation resources to help you market and promote your designation.
3. When you add your product to your cart, you acknowledge that you have met all requirements to earn your Master CGP. You will be able to review and complete the application before finalizing the billing and payment information or return to the application later if you can't fill it out all at one time.
4. After completing the Master CGP application, click the Submit button. This will prompt you to fill out the billing information and finalize the payment. The application will not be officially submitted until you have finished the checkout process and paid the application fee.
