Nationwide, there are over 200,000 unfilled skilled trades jobs in residential construction. Our industry is rebounding and the nation's homebuilders are in need of skilled laborers and professionals to maintain production in response to this continued uptick. The National Housing Endowment is committed to the ever changing needs of the housing industry. We positioned ourselves to respond to this need by not only focusing on graduating university trained managers but also focusing on filling the gap the skilled labor workforce. We have directly addressed the nation's labor shortage by establishing and promoting scholarship and grant opportunities like the Skilled Labor Fund.
